Amaro Limoncè biscuits: one leads to another

Set aside the classic chocolate, cream and pistachio, to make room for the originality of Amaro Limoncè.
Let's see together how to make some really surprising cookies!

500 g of flour
2 eggs
200 g of sugar
250 g of butter
1 cup of Amaro Limoncè
1 sachet of baking powder
As much as you want of lemon zest

Let's start with the dough. First, make a nest with the flour on a clean work surface. Add our Amaro Limoncè at the center. Then proceed by adding the other ingredients: eggs, 150 g of sugar, yeast, salt, lemon zest and the butter cutted into small pieces. Mix everything until the mixture is homogeneous, and let the dough rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.
After the 30 minutes, remove the mixture from the fridge and spread it well, without making it too thin.

With a drinking glass cut through the dough, giving the circular shape to our biscuits. Next, we take a plate and pour the remaining 50 g of sugar to gently cover the shapes we have just made. Place the biscuits on the baking paper well spaced and bake at 170 degrees for 15 minutes.

Once ready leave them to cool for a few hours. And here we are with a simple and surprising dessert, perfect for an after dinner with friends. The perfect match? Obviously a glass of Amaro Limoncè.
